Eldon and Mary Hixson owned and operated the Hixson Funeral Home in Gower and Edgerton, Missouri from 1960 to 1977. In 1977, Jack and Shari Klein purchased the funeral homes. In 1982 their name was added to the business. The Klein’s sons, Casey and Corey, received their Embalmer’s and Funeral Directors Licenses and joined their parents in 1998, and their daughter, Christa Musser started in 1999. In January of 2000, the chapel in Smithville was opened. Also, Corey’s wife, Mandy in 2001, and Christa’s husband, Danny in 2007, joined the family funeral home. Other employees include, son, Chad Klein, and Ernie Lorenson.
